Okay, there's Gaiaonline, there's DeviantArt, and then there's Newgrounds. We're not like those other sites. Not everyone's going to try and befriend you here. Really you shouldn't expect to make friends after being on the site for only a week and having little contribution to Newgrounds, you need to make something that is relevant to the interests of others. A lot of the people here like mindless violence, swearing, nudity, and/or pokémon. Just post one of those things and you should get a few friends.
TL;DR: No one's gonna come out and wanna befriend you. YOU need to go out there and make friends.

I have been on NG forever (I have a much older account but i changed since i wanted a new username ><) and have never had a "friend" on this site. This isn't a place for seeing how many superficial friends you can make.... and no one is neglecting you :/
If you really want people to notice you and send you PM's and what not make sure you post in the forums a lot. Someone will be bond to notice you and take interest in you and what you have to say.
Just being honest, if your just here to make friends then maybe this isn't the right place for you :/ What got you interested in NG in the first place?
First of all,what made me intrested in NG was the popular flash animations,music,and the voice acting stuff.i wanted to upload my demo reels here but i've been struggling to upload it here.
if that posted art you have is a dA victory, then they have lower standards that I previously thought....
